I have a decade of experience as a university educator, working as a unit manager, lecturer, tutor, research supervisor, and examiner.
I am an interdisciplinary arts and humanities lecturer, classroom instructor, and assessor,
My teaching interests include Literary Studies (including feminist and queer literature, children's and young adult literature, literary genres, and Australian literature) as well as Gender and Sexuality Studies (including feminist, queer, and trans studies and theory and the histories, politics, and representations of gender and sexuality). I also have interests in theory and practices of critical thinking, digital literacy, and collaboration.
Teaching is vital to my intellectual life and affords me the opportunity to maintain disciplinary knowledge, to relate and translate materials for students, to design and facilitate impactful discussions and learning activities, and to always be thinking creatively in the moment about how to best work with students in the classroom.
